Just Breathe
Just Breathe J.F.X. Eckert
We can talk in the morning, We can talk in the morning
But for now just breathe.
You can think what you want, I'll think what I want
and we'll just let it be.
You tell me stories, You base your lies upon the actual
facts
I believe in something, but I don't believe your ever coming back
at
least not intact.
I heard you whisper, You said something
about life and you.
You've made your mind up there is no future
if you see this thing through.
Those obsessions that you live for keep you up at night.
The cross you carry has become your only guiding light
..you seem
a bit surprised.
I won't explain this, My conversations don't do much
for you.
Accept the standards, is all I promised and it's all I can do.
I am who I am, You are who you are
& we'll just go on our way.
It serves no purpose, to beat our heads
against the walls we have made
You tell me stories, You base your lies upon the actual
facts
I believe in something, but I don't believe your ever coming back
at
least not intact.
| Two people who think too much. It's like...hey, we are both pretty screwed up..why don't we just breath for a while and ease the brain? We can just lay here..and think again in the morning. Do I write from experience??...I think sometimes I do. Then again...reading this again...maybe it was only one person in the room..... |
