Behindsight

Behindsight J.F.X. Eckert

You spend all your time in worrying
What goods it do when all day long you're hurrying

You go on thinking life has let you down
But you're wrong you put it all onto yourself

(Chorus)
You worry about tomorrow
Although it is today.
You always worry about tomorrow
Let it all slip away

If you see the moment as its here
You won't feel the anguish and the fear
(Chorus)

Time is all inside your head
Why don't you find?
Something else to waste instead
(Chorus)

I wrote this song in 1985 or so and at the time I was just writing. It wasnt until years later when I started reading a lot of the Eastern way of life that I realized I was telling myself to live for the moment. I know it's an old cliche', but at the time I wrote this, I wasnt there yet. I did like the riff that went with this song, but it took many years to get it recorded right. The Echo Grove version turned out pretty dang good..I don't sing or play on it...Hmmmm??? Maybe thats why it came out so well.....Well, I won't worry about it...
